Executive Summary

Optimet’s ConoProbe MK10 with a 75 mm lens was used in the application of metal sample inspection. The tests were performed to demonstrate measurement capability. Two samples were supplied for examination:
1. Steel sample
2. Brass sample

2.Application Description

Scanning of steel and brass samples using Optimet’s ConoProbe MK10 with a 75 mm lens.

Settings for the steel sample:    
  • Measurement rate: 9 kHz
  • X-step: 100 µm
  • Y-step: 100 µm
  • Laser power: 30

Settings for the brass sample:      
  • Measurement rate: 9 kHz
  • X-step: 100 µm
  • Y-step: 100 µm
  • Laser power: 20
