As of January 2007 Optimet is supplying Mark 3.0 ConoProbes. The Mark 3.0 ConoProbe incorporates additional improvements and features in comparison with the current Mark 2.0 ConoProbe:

1. Option to increase the measurement rate from <750Hz to <3000Hz. 

2. Ethernet communication interface instead of the current parallel port.

3. The EC1000 electronic box is eliminated and replaced with a small communication box.

4. A larger range of different materials which can be scanned in one laser set up.

5. The ConoProbe Mark 3.0 is manufactured with ROHS compliant components.
